Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of the increasing role of the state in solving modern current and long-term problems. At the same time, the success and obtaining the necessary results in their solution depend on conceptual approaches to the management of state property, without which the state will not be able to perform its functions. The emphasis is placed on privatization – the "old" problems of the 1990s are identified in order to eliminate errors when using this institute of state property management at the present time.
